Dr John K. Loveday

I was born and raised in Palmerston North and had my initial experience with Chiropractic at age 11, when adjustments healed my daily bedwetting problem.

A rugby career, which started at age 15, required regular Chiropractic care and was so successful that I decided to become a Chiropractor myself. In those days, students had to travel to the USA for their Doctorate, so I had to make a huge decision between study and rugby. I left NZ at the age of 19 for the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

After graduating in 1973, I returned to Palmerston North to build a large practice and also manage a very successful rugby career, culminating in selection for the 1978 All Blacks’ Grand Slam tour of the UK.

I spent 12 years in Brisbane, developing another busy clinic, and here I gained an interest in clinical nutrition and energetic and emotional healing. In 1997, I was made Chairman of the Queensland Chiropractors and Osteopaths Registration Board.

Upon returning to Nelson, NZ, my wife Helen and I developed a multi-practitioner health clinic and from 2003-2012 I sat on the NZ Chiropractic Registration Board, serving 6 years as it’s Chairman.

In 2017, Helen and I moved to Taupo and I came to work as an associate for Dr. Lene Linnet Feldborg. I have travelled to the USA, Canada, England, Germany and Australia on many occasions, completing Certification in the following: Sacro Occipital Technique, nutritional supplementation, energetic healing, Cold Laser Therapy, extremity techniques, plant based nutrition and Neuro Emotional Technique. After 45 years in Clinical practice, my passion is still to care for people at a holistic level.
