If you're considering your first chiropractic visit with us- welcome! At Linnet Chiropractic, we understand that seeking care for your body, health, or wellbeing can sometimes feel daunting. Whether you're coming in with an injury, aches and pains, or simply curious about how chiropractic can support your lifestyle, we're here to meet you where you're at.
Our care is supportive, personalised, and evidence-informed, with a focus on how your body is moving, adapting, and functioning. We're here to help you understand your body better, and feel empowered to take an active role in your recovery and wellness journey.
đź‘‹ A Warm Welcome
When you arrive at our clinic, you'll be greeted in a calm, friendly space to help you feel comfortable. You’ll have been sent a health history form to complete before your visit, or you can fill in a paper copy once you arrive. This is designed to help us learn more about what brings you in and what’s going on in your body. Whether you're here for pain relief, adjustments, soft tissue work, dry needling, or a combination; we’ll take the time to listen and understand how best to help your body heal and thrive.
🧠We Start With Understanding
Your first visit includes a thorough consultation that begins with a conversation. We will review your medical history and current symptoms. This is also a chance for you to share your story- how you're feeling, what daily life looks like for you, any limitations or struggles you are currently dealing with, and what you hope to get from care.
🌿 Hands-On Physical Assessment
This thorough assessment isn’t just about pinpointing pain- it’s about understanding how your body is functioning as a whole. We want to see how your body is physically moving and responding. This will be completely tailored to you and your complaint. If turning your head is painful, we adapt. If walking is difficult due to a back injury, we adjust. We have seen it all and will meet you wherever you are at. We explain everything as we go so you know what to expect and you are always welcome and encouraged to ask questions throughout.
This assessment may include:
Postural assessment
We’ll observe how your body is holding and supporting itself, from head to toe. Posture can tell us a lot about underlying patterns and compensations.
Range of Motion analysis
We’ll assess how freely and comfortably your joints are moving. This gives us insight into stiffness, restriction, or imbalance.
Orthopaedic testing
These movement and mobility tests help us understand how your muscles, joints, and ligaments are working- and can guide us toward a diagnosis. Some of these tests may reproduce your symptoms but they are always as gentle as possible for us to get the clearest idea of what is going on for you.
Spinal and Extremity assessment
Through hands-on assessment of the joint of your spine, arms and legs help us gather a lot of information about the function of these structures.
Muscle Tension and soft tissue analysis
Through a hands on assessment we may find specific areas of your spine and surrounding muscles which may be contributing to imbalance.
Neurological Testing
If your symptoms suggest a nerve component- such as numbness, tingling, weakness, or changes in reflexes- we may check your neurological function to ensure we're addressing the whole picture.
Vital Signs
We may test vital signs such as blood pressure or cranial nerves if indicated to ensure the safety of our care, or to get you to the right place if that isn’t us.
🛡️ Your Safety Comes First
If anything in your presentation raises red flags, or we feel additional information is needed, we’ll refer you to the appropriate provider- whether that’s for x-rays, imaging, or a second opinion. Your safety and wellbeing are our number one priority. We want to ensure you’re in the right place, getting the right care.
💆 Care That’s Right for You
Once we’ve gathered the information we need, we’ll explain what we’ve found in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way, giving you real insight into what’s going on and what can be done to support you.
Our treatment consists of a combination of:
Hands-on chiropractic adjustments
Chiropractic techniques including Thompson Drop, Activator, or Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) blocks and procedures
Soft tissue release techniques and massage
Dry needling (if suitable and agreed upon)
Lifestyle or movement advice
Simple exercises to support your body to heal and gain strength in weakened areas
We may use one of all of the above and will always tailor everything to your body, your preferences, and your goals.
🗣️ Clear, Honest Communication
The number of sessions required depends on your condition’s nature and severity. Some people feel significant relief after just a few visits, while others may benefit from ongoing care. If ongoing care is recommended, we’ll talk it through with you. We'll monitor your progress closely and create a personalised treatment plan that fits your goals and lifestyle.
At Linnet Chiropractic, we prioritise patient satisfaction. Our focus is on providing personalised treatment until you are happy with your progress. We do not have prepaid packages, ensuring that our care remains flexible and tailored to your evolving needs.
While some people feel fantastic after their first session, it’s completely normal to feel a little sore or even slightly worse for up to 48 hours afterwards. This is simply your nervous system adapting to new input. If you ever have questions or concerns between visits, our superstar clinic manager Catherine is just a phone call or message away.

We care for people of all ages and stages, from busy parents to growing children to weekend warriors. Every visit is about connection, understanding, and care that fits you.
